Give me your listening ear.
Take heed of my words as they speak to your heart,
As you come alive with the sweet melody of my voice that is not mine alone.
It was given by one who saw emptiness and said “worth”
And so they gave me a story to tell.
Gaze upon me with your wondering eye.
Notice the beauty in the way my words dance across the page
With the flawless fluidity of a flowing stream.
They tumble together to depths not once known
And they won’t stop until they’ve made their point.
Grant me an audience with you.
Let me share with you my hopes and dreams that I carry with me.
Let them touch you in a way you haven’t experienced before.
They may disrupt you, comfort you, whatever you need
But I know that they’re not mine alone.
